At least in my eyes, they are, feeding me major BS. For those who are curious and waiting for my “about” page, here’s a little about me. I was born in NYC; grew up in Hong Kong; then spent the second half of my life somewhere in WA. It would only be natural for me to claim English as my second language even though I am now having trouble with my Chinese as well. I know, it’s pretty depressing.

Anyhow. So in order for my application to SU to be considered completed, a proof of my English proficiency is required. Long story short, after going through plenty of trouble, sending in papers and reports, and then more papers and more reports, SU has decided to toss my application because I don’t have sufficient proof. I could take a TOEFL but that won’t help completing my application for 2007-2008. Fantastic.

Why is this bull? Because I achieved 2/3 of my education here in the States. Including my two degrees in Biology and Psychology at an university. Yet, I need to prove my English proficiency. Right, I forgot, my 5 years of higher education validates nothing.

On another note. It’s Chinese New Year. For those who do celebrate, Happy Chinese New Year! For those who don’t, you’re missing out, on very good food, such as the one served last night.
